Everyone associates wedding photography with young couples in a romantic love. Most commonly, it is and it’s exciting and wonderful. There are also special times when I get to be a part of something more intimate with a mature couple. Fred was a widow and had been friends with Nancy for many years. A romance bloomed and a marriage was made.
As is often the case with a second wedding it was centered on their children, family and close friends with a ceremony at the historic chapel, Trinity Episcopal in Wheaton. The couple’s grandchildren served as maid of honor and best man and the groom’s son and grand daughter provided musical accompaniment. They enjoyed a luncheon with their guests nearby and plan to divide their time between chicago and Georgia, where Nancy runs a bed and breakfast. It was an honor to be a part of their day.
